Clockwise from the bottom left:
- The flier must be a message directed towards Leroy since it contains no other information about the party seeking the lost tools. I guess the fliers were specifically placed along a route that the Lockhorns were sure to take. Given the excessive effort, Murray Lenhart comes off as an exceptionally petty individual. It makes me question why he even lent Leroy the tools initially. You can't rule out the possibility that Leroy just stole the tools in the first place. Loretta's observation about the whole situation doesn't merit her getting a point, so I have to rule this a push. The score is 0-0.
- At this point, Pullman must be able to spot Loretta's punchlines a mile away. Whenever she opens up a statement about Leroy he must know it'll end with a brief pause followed by some obvious criticism of Leroy. His lack of surprise at Loretta's "revelation" seems to back up this assumption. For all we know he might be ignoring the Lockhorns all together and planning an upcoming vacation or his weekend plans. Loretta gets the first point and takes a 1-0 lead.
- I'm trying to imagine how a password protection feature would work on a electric bathroom scale. How could Loretta program the scale to recognize that it's her and have it only give out her weight after inserting a password? I'm thinking maybe the scale is used exclusively by Loretta and that for it to be turned on a password is required. That is far too much thought to be given to Leroy's mediocre fat joke. Still, it's a point for Leroy as the day is tied 1-1.
- I always find it implausible that the Lockhorns know so many young couples and that they are constantly being invited to their weddings despite their long track record of bringing everyone down on wedding day. Here another new groom is given some wise martial advice from a experienced husband, mainly that he is totally screwed. Loretta is none too pleased to overhear. Leroy scores another point and takes a 2-1 lead.
- Loretta is really making something out of nothing here. Leroy is just reading the paper. There really isn't anything deplorable that he's doing that deserves a pass-by insult. Had Leroy been caught attempting to hide from Loretta and her friend, her salvo might have been warranted. Although this is all assuming that Leroy is actually reading some text on the inside pages while the outside is blank for some reason. Loretta gets the point and manages to force a 2-2 push on the day.
